Celebrating excellence: the inaugural Invictus Awards 2025

At STS, we believe in recognising and celebrating the incredible talent, dedication, and hard work of our employees. This belief led to the launch of our first-ever Invictus Awards in 2025, under the theme “Striving for Excellence in Everything We Do.

On 18 February 2025, we gathered to honour the outstanding contributions of individuals who have gone above and beyond in their roles, driving innovation, collaboration, and positive change within our company and beyond. Several prestigious awards were presented, each highlighting the unique qualities that make our team exceptional.

The Chairman’s Award: giving back to society

The Chairman’s Award is a tribute to those who embody the spirit of giving and social responsibility. This award recognises individuals or groups that demonstrate an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of others through philanthropy, volunteerism, and community service.

🏆 Winners:

  • Leanne van Eeden, Outdoor Advertising Product Lead
  • Lucinda Schubach, Executive Assistant

These two individuals have shown unwavering dedication to uplifting the most vulnerable in society. Their commitment to helping both people and animals exemplifies true compassion and community service. Through their relentless efforts, they have made a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of many. Their passion, kindness, and determination continue to inspire those around them.

The CEO’s Spotlight Award: innovation and leadership

The CEO’s Spotlight Award recognises employees who exemplify creativity, initiative, and leadership in their roles. The winners are individuals who continuously seek innovative solutions, contribute to business expansion, and play a pivotal role in enhancing the company’s services and strategies.

🏆 Winner (employee category): Ben Hsiao, Junior Loan Administrator

Ben is applauded for his innovative thinking and initiative, which led to a significant improvement in operational efficiency. By upskilling in programming, he developed a script that automatically corrects issues in loan statements during shorter months, such as February. This solution has eliminated the need for manual corrections to hundreds of statements whenever interest rates change, vastly improving accuracy and processing speed.

🏆 Winner (leadership category): Maryna Wiesner, Executive Director Group GRC

Maryna has demonstrated outstanding dedication to enhancing internal efficiency and managing risk for all stakeholders. She played a pivotal role in the rollout of the Diligent software, automating and streamlining compliance, risk, and governance activities. Her leadership has strengthened operational effectiveness while mitigating potential risks.

Manco’s Top Collaborator Award: fostering teamwork

Collaboration is at the heart of a successful organisation. This award is dedicated to an employee who exemplifies teamwork and cross-departmental support, going beyond their role to facilitate cooperation and streamline processes.

🏆 Winner: Michelle Hugo, Manager Legal Administration

Michelle is recognised for her solutions-driven mindset and commitment to excellence. She consistently finds practical and effective ways to overcome cross-functional challenges, bringing teams together and ensuring efficiency remains a top priority.

The People’s Choice Award: the heart of the team

This special award honours an employee widely recognised and appreciated by their colleagues. It is given to an individual who fosters a supportive and inclusive work environment, uplifts others, and consistently promotes teamwork and positivity.

🏆 Winner: Francis Bikitsha, Pre-sales Administrator

Francis was chosen for her unwavering positivity, dedication, and impact. Her infectious enthusiasm and eagerness to support colleagues contribute to an environment of encouragement and engagement. She exemplifies professionalism and selflessness, fostering trust and unity within the company.
