Zahra Rawjee

Zahra is a seasoned businesswoman with over 20 years of experience spanning multiple industries, including FMCG, pharmaceuticals, mining, private education, and property. She is a co-founder and Executive Director of Uzenzele Holdings, a niche advisory firm that has facilitated over R2.8 billion in funding for mid-tier companies, and an average capital raise of R120 million; specialising in debt, equity, and non-repayable grants.
With a strong foundation in governance and compliance, her professional journey began in her family business, where she gained early exposure to the critical importance of oversight, ethical practices and compliance. This experience shaped her strategic approach to evaluating and scaling businesses, having assessed over 2,500 businesses for bankability.
Zahra has voluntarily served in various capacities on the Aga Khan Council for Kenya (Coordinating Committee for South Africa) for over two decades. Her career is defined by a collaborative leadership style, exceptional problem solving skills, and an unwavering commitment to fostering business growth.
